WIP Wednesdays
Attempts are underway
This week I wrapped up a second draft on one of my romance projects. It’s been in the works for a while so I’m pretty glad I finished it.
I did however jump right into the next project on the list, which is an entire first draft by 2-25-25 to meet my very serious and technically arbitrary deadline.
I’ve progressed to the point in my wardrobe endeavors that I’m having to catalogue my fabric and yarn supplies so I can cross reference it to my needs…so I’ve started addressing the potentially horrifying implications of that task and making headway.
I wanted to redo the curtains above my computer, upgrade from the raw fabric tossed over the rod to something with a bit more whimsy and charm. So far so good?

The Josh’s sweater is coming along, I’m down to the last sleeve! After that it’s just the ribbing, so I’ve got to decide soon if I’m going to do button holes. I know I’m going to have to. I can’t help it. I have to learn how to. I have a theory in my head and I must now know if that’s right or not.
My dad’s sweater is stalled, I just have to turn the other sleeve on the Sentro before I can seam it together and do the ribbing. The Sentro has been rescued from under one of the various piles I’ve accumulated, and the yarn is nearby for when I’m set to go on it next.
I started a corner to corner crochet blanket out of the big fuzzy pink yarn I’ve been hoarding. I’ve never used the technique before so it’s been mildly frustrating in the most delightful way. I’m hoping I have enough of the yarn to make a winter blanket to fit on top of my comforter, and something similar for Tot.
I unearthed and managed two rows on my king-sized Tunisian crochet blanket made out of the Walmart yarn? Using a size six hook. Mistakes were made. This one’s a doozy and I do not have enough yarn I know it.
It’s been pretty nice out, so I managed to sneak in a walk on Tuesday and took a tatting shuttle with me. I somehow managed to tat about 6 inches of a really simple lace tape while walking, which after a certain point in the playlist turned into skipping and dancing down the street.
I finished my nonfiction book for the month and have since started on Story Structure Architect. I also picked up and started in on Frogkisser! by Garth Nix
